Overview

This pack keeps the five related Souravas periodic-note templates on one page instead of presenting each cadence as an independent resource. It is useful when daily capture should feed weekly reflection, then roll into monthly, quarterly, and yearly reviews. Every source template is shown below, so you can take only the cadences your workflow will actually maintain.

Key Features

How to Install Souravas Periodic Note Templates

  1. 1Download the source archive or copy the templates displayed on this page.
  2. 2Place the files in the folder configured for Obsidian's Templates core plugin.
  3. 3Configure each cadence you use in Periodic Notes or the corresponding core daily-note setting.
  4. 4Create one note at each cadence and confirm that its date token and destination folder are correct.

How to Use Souravas Periodic Note Templates

Use the daily note as a lightweight capture surface, then review those notes when completing the weekly template. Carry only meaningful outcomes into the monthly, quarterly, and yearly notes instead of copying every task forward. The templates are intentionally small, so add links to the previous and next period only after the filename format is stable.

How the Five Cadences Fit Together

  • Daily: capture tasks and working notes for one date.
  • Weekly: choose priorities and record a short reflection.
  • Monthly: collect goals and review recurring work.
  • Quarterly: track a small set of 90-day results.
  • Yearly: preserve major highlights and direction without duplicating every lower-level note.

Customization and Limits

Keep only cadences you will review consistently. Add links, properties, or Dataview queries to your local copies rather than treating the source files as a complete productivity system. Date-token behavior depends on the plugin or core feature that inserts the template, so test it around week, month, quarter, and year boundaries.

Use cases

  • Capture tasks and observations in a daily note
  • Review priorities and outcomes each week
  • Roll recurring themes into monthly, quarterly, and yearly reviews
