Overview
Publish selected notes from your vault to a free public website hosted on Netlify or Vercel. A self-hosted alternative to Obsidian Publish with themes, backlinks, and graph view. It helps users publish a selected subset of Markdown notes as a linked website while keeping the working vault local. The practical value is a repeatable workflow that remains visible in ordinary Markdown or Obsidian's own interface, rather than an isolated feature added without a plan.
How to Install Digital Garden
- 1Open Obsidian Settings, select Community plugins, and confirm Restricted mode is disabled.
- 2Search the community catalog for Digital Garden, install it, and enable it.
- 3Open the plugin settings and review its defaults before using it on existing notes.
- 4Test the workflow in a copied note or disposable vault, then inspect the resulting files.
How to Use Digital Garden
Mark one test note for publication, configure the supported deployment target, publish, and verify links, properties, and excluded notes before expanding the garden.
